My tip would be go to a charity shop and buy something you like in the size you want to be, hang it somewhere you will see it quite a lot and it will help (I say charity shop because its very cheap and if you do give in you have not wasted too much money!!!)

Maybe find a slimming buddy someone you can talk to for support on your bad days, go for a walk when when you find yourself being tempted, and never shop when your hungry you will be tempted by all the goodies!

I know how you feel and it really is hard getting motivated!. I have the same trouble (trying to lose 1 stone for my wedding in 3 months time!!!)!. It is true that results are really the biggest motivator so its the first step that you need help with!. Take each individual moment and challenge yourself to see if you can conquer it (eg!. when thinking you want some cake, say, can I overcome this very moment, just this piece of cake)!. Don't think too long term, just take each thing as a challenge!. Like when I jog, instead of thinking I need to do another 10 minutes, I say (when I'm tired) ok, lets see if I can do one more minute!. And if I stop after that then that's ok because I have pushed myself further than I would have, and I will do more and more each time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Telling yourself that you have 3 stone to lose is a downer for a start!. I was ill a while back and gained 2 stone, so I told myself I had 5lbs to lose which is so much more an easy goal than 28lbs!. Of course, lost that 5lbs, then told myself "OK another 5lbs", etc!.

Take the diet one step at a time too!.

Week one, start eating a really healthy breakfast or porridge or oatmeal!. This will keep you fuller for longer and it's low GL which means no sugar 'rush' then slump!.

Week two, continue with the healthy breakfast but then add a healthy lunch - grilled chicken with some salad and a piece of fruit!.

Week three - as above but now have a healthy dinner!.

Week four - keep up with the healthy eating!. you should be feeling the benefits by now so now you can start exercising!. Go 3 times a week to start and work-out to raise a sweat for 45mins minimum!.

It takes about a fortnight for an action to become a habit!.

If you do things in stages rather than all at once, there is less chance of falling off the wagon and *if* you do, well, it's so much easier to clamber back on!.

Each Monday, weigh yourself and get a tape measure and note your chest, waist, hips and each thigh!. Sometimes the scales won't budge from one week to the next - sometimes they even go up! - but the tape measure will show you that you are infact losing weight and this will keep you motivated!.

Oh - avoid 'diet' labelled food - to make it taste nicer they add more sugar and additives!. Each good, wholesome foods as natural as possible!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
