At your age, it's very easy to think that you need some tone, when you haven't even finished growing yet. In reality, it's hard to get truly toned in your teens. Fitness magazines chose models in their late twenties and early thirties for that reason. Not what you wanted to hear, right? But please keep reading!

The first thing you need to do is talk to your parents about your concerns, because even if you think they won't listen, they will and do! Back in high school, I couldn't eat meat after dissecting a cat, and it didn't seem like Mom was listening at first, and kept serving me meat dishes without the meat. But, she realized that I wanted to really try vegetarian dishes, so she starting shopping at a health food store, and I found some great foods that I still eat today, even though I do eat meat now. Your parents will listen, and can help you reach your goals, as they can get you what you need to eat and can help you find a great workout.

After you talk to your parents, the thing to do would to eat at least three times a day, and like anyone else, your meals need to include plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, low fat dairy (not fat-free, you still need to eat fat as your brain needs it!) and lean meats. If you are in sports, you don't need to do any extra workouts, as you get enough exercise. Too much hard exercise can cause damage to the growth plates in your bones, which you don't want. But what if you are not involved in sports? You said you are very busy, so the best thing to do would to buy a half-hour exercise tape like Denise Austin or basic Tae Bo, and do that three to four times a week. Use a different tape every month, as your body can adjust to the exercises in that time, and you won't see any improvements. If you need some more advice, keep posting, and I will keep answering.
