Why is it that when I have a taste of junk food I end up going overboard? See de!
Question:
Why is it that when I have a taste of junk food I end up going overboard? See details?
It's like I'm not satisfied with a little bit, and then I over indulge. This typically happens on weekends.
It's really beginning to bother me and I'm about to make a vow to myself to never eat it again because even when I'm not craving it at all, if I have a bit I end up not being able to control myself and go overboard. And when I make the right decision and don't have a taste, I usually lose the craving all-together.
This happens with junk like chips, popcorn and candy. Usually I like to have a treat day, but for about a month now my healthy eating habits are being blown to bits on weekends.
Any suggestions? Would stopping with chips/popcorn/candies on my treat days be a good idea? Those are pretty much the only thing I go overboard with. Not chocolate, icecream, nothin.
Answers:
Omgosh, for a second I thought you were talking about me. =D I have the same problem. In fact, I'm currently snacking on ice-cream, even though I already had a family-size pack of chips. It's a big problem, but I let myself eat anything I want once every two weeks. A month is too long and I end up giving up altogether. And this is my two week mark =D. But here's what I do on other days... I chew gum. Not chewng gum, but bubble gum. It takes away your craving altogether and for a while you don't even think about food. The reason I say bubble gum is that once the taste is gone, you can have fun blowing bubbles. =D. Hope I helped, although I doubt I did.
