Weight gain issues?!


Question: Weight gain issues!?
Ok so I'm 19 yrs old!.!.!.(almost 20)!. I'm exactly 5'6" and I'm 105lbs roughly!. I've been trying to gain some weight and get myself up to 110lbs!. I've only noticed a slight difference!.!.!.and even then its not by much!. Everyone in my family has a really high metabolism but my sis who's only a year older weighs almost 120lbs!. I'm tired though of people making anorexic comments about me! Also I have a huge addiction to salt!.!.!.and that is not good right!.!.!.!.but for the amount I consume I should be a friggin water buffalo by now! What is the quickest/easiest way to gain 5-10lbs!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sort of in the same position as you, as i need to gain some weight!. I visited with a nutritionist and she gave me some really good tips on how to sneak in extra calories!. One of the best foods to eat is nuts, because they are really calorie dense (and they are yummy, especially since you like salt!) Also, try adding cheese to every meal, whether it be a slice of cheese on your hamburger or some sprinkled on a salad!. Also, if you eat dairy products (milk, yogurt, cottage cheese) try getting the higher percent milkfat!. Other healthy fats include oils (olive is best) and avocado!. If you find it easier to consume liquid calories, they sell many different drinks like Boost and Ensure, and you can even make smoothies by blending them with fruit, ice cream or yogurt, and ice!.

As you are working on gaining a few pounds, you might also want to try lifting some weights to build muscle mass!. A little bit of toned muscle will bulk you up a little!.
