Answers:
people put their arms behind their head for more resistance and when they arent they tend to use them to assist the movement therefor not working out the abdomen as muchWww@Answer-Health@Com

Normally you'd do say 15 repetitions and maybe 2-3 sets!. Really concentrate on contracting the muscles - and you don't have to lift up high, just a small movement works wonders!. You can also do reverse curls and bicycle crunches which work different areas!.

Most people put there hands under their head to support their neck!. You can put you hands where you like!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no dude, you can put them across your chest, you can slide them on the ground next to your body, and for some extra resistance, go ahead and hold weights against your chest too!.!.!.
dont forget that if you are trying to make your tummy look good with crunches, you cant push your abs out when you come up into the crunch position!. you have to suck in your tummy and flex your muscles at the same time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can, but you don't have to!. As long as you are actually using your abdominal muscles to raise your shoulders off of the ground, you could be stirring a pot of spaghetti for all your body cares!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

not necessarily, you can put your arms straight up so you could have more powerWww@Answer-Health@Com

not necessarily but it's sort of accepted that way!.
I do it sometimes but that's harder lol!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it would be better for more support yes and sucking your stomach in while you do them because if not your abdominal muscles may grow outward instead of inwardWww@Answer-Health@Com

No you don't have to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
