What was your first motivation to start exercising and eating healthier? How has!

Question:

What was your first motivation to start exercising and eating healthier? How has it changed or stayed the same

Answers:

My first motivation to start exercising and eating right?

You see, I was deeply hurt when I was called a "fat and round" girl back then in my teens. I really hated it so much.

That was my moment - the moment to decide to change things in my life - body weight, eating habit, the whole works....

I dreamt of looking lean and slim and fit and this beautiful picture had propelled me to go the extra mile to get it........

I started exercise and eat right, and because I yearned it so much, it sort of consumed me totally so much so I was doing it all wrong - just go by dieting alone without exercising.

Well, I saw the lbs go down but my muscles were flabby and soft and I remained "round".

That was during my teen and varsity years.

Then, as I matured over the years, thru reading and research and personal training, I realised that exercise and a healthy diet are essential if I wanted to stay healthy, all my life.....

So, I opted for a "do-able" exercise program that consisted of cardio exercise, strength-training, Pilates and stretching, for acquiring an overall healthy body and for developing specific body and muscular strength and for flexibility.

These exercises are building blocks of insurance that I'll stay healthy and fit even when I've hit 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s or 80s....

And of course, eating right at all times.

These days, my goal has evolved - exercise and eating right aren't so much for the purpose of losing weight; they're for good health as health is priceless - money can't buy health.

And in the quest for health, I also lose weight and look good? What more can I ask?

As an afterthought, I would like to say that exercise has the capability of giving me a better quality life and I reap lots of health benefits from it.
