Question: Shouldn't eat after 6 pm!. But Im despret!?
I am despret to loose 10 pounds!.( Im really overweight) And shouldn't eat after 6 is what Ive been told!. But Im pretty hungry!. Should I stick it out, go to bed early and play it safe(its 9 pm) or go ahead and eat an apple!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes - this is the wisest method you can practice to help take off a little weight - to not eat after 6 or 7 pm!.

Unfortunately it might be actually genetic to want to eat in the evening or at night!. It's really a miserable thing to do - but people are drawn to this behavior SO strongly!. Just try to resist!. I have no idea what else to say!.

There will come a time someday when some smart scientist will figure out a pill you can take which will cut that appetite out - but up until now absolutely nothing exists (although there are a zillion diet pill scams)!. Appetite is probably controlled by a hormone released from the stomach!?!?!? Maybe!.!.!.

Sorry, but the person who gave you that sort of advice is and idiot!. If you don't eat after 6 pm, you starve yourself for about 14 hours (I assume that you eat breakfast) and that can only slow down your metabolism!. If you skip meals you may lose some weight, but by damaging your metabolism you will soon gain it back, possibly more than what you lost!.

What will help you lose the weight is:
1) Eating more fruits and veggies (like 6 portions a day, they help you stay full while giving you few calories)
2) Lean meats (e!.g!. fish, chicken breasts) so that you can control the amount of fats you take in throughout a day
3) Whole grains, nutritious and help you stay full for longer thanks to fibre
4) Good fats in moderation, like 5 almonds or 2 teaspoons of olive oil or flax oil per meals
5) LOTS of SMALL meals!. 5-6 meals, eat every 3-4 hours
6) A lot of water!. No less than 8 glasses a day
7) Moderate exercise!. About 30 min of aerobic exercise 5 times a week will get you there!. This can be walking, cycling, elliptical, whatever you like!. Ideally add some strength training (3 times a week)

That way you can lose them in about a month!. Keep exercising and ditch some bad habbits you may have (like sodas or lots of fried food) or you will gain it back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Actually, it's really not all that crucuial to not eat after 6 PM!. What IS crucial is WHAT you eat after 6 PM!. Just eat low fat, low sugar things after 6 and not TOO MUCH!. Actually, the best thing to do is to eat every 3 hours all day long including after 6 PM!. Studies show that that keeps your metabolism running all day long whereas eating large meals more spread out lets it slow down!. Frequent SMALL meals helps with weight loss, including after 6!.

I eat a small serving of cottage cheese every night before bed!. I have lost 11 lbs in under two months!. Eating at night is not bad, it's just WHAT you eat and how much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The first guy said it perfectly - it matters more of what you eat rather than when you eat it!. Just eat low-fat, sugary things!. Read the back labels of things, too - if a food item has more calories from fat than it has calories, do NOT eat it!.

And, if you really need help, try green tea!. I'm serious, it's a natural appetite suppressor, you won't be hungry or tempted to eat at all after about half an hour of drinking it (unless you eat emotionally)!. And water, water, water, all day long!. I usually get my parents to keep a cold jug of water in the fridge at all times, so after I come back from football practice or school, I always take a drink!. I'm only fourteen, I don't have to worry about weight, but water's great for your body no matter what - weight loss, more energy, preventing acne!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you want to loose weight, don't eat 3 hours before bedtime!. If you're feeling hungry eat more but small potions throughout the day, that will keep your body in check!. try cottage cheese, it takes about 7 hours to digest so you wont be ripping the door on your fridge so you can make the correct decissions for breakfast!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
