Question: How do stop my mom from buying bad food!?
i have a similar question
so much tempting junk food
and she says dont eat it if you dont want it
but i do want it and i hate it
i try self control
sometimes i fail though
and i have to disculde myself from family dinner a lot, becuz its unhealthy

For one stop whining and if you did learn self control it didn't last too long cause temptation overcame you!. Write a list of the foods you want yourr mom to get you for you!. Practice visualization meaning picture foods you know are good for you and see yourself eating them like a mental movie and see what you want to look like and practice deep breathing, this helps with calmness!. Its tough to control your habits but you can pull through take it one step at a time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you really want to stop getting into the habit of eating food that's bad for you there are many things you can do!. But for now I would strongly suggest talking to your mom about buying food that's better for you and, if you care a lot, offer to chip in the extra price food that is better!. Also remember that, if you really want to stop eating unhealthy, that even though the junk might seem good, stop yourself from eating it!. You don't want to turn out badly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is aversion therapy!. you only eat tempting foods because you have a pleasant memory of it being tasty from past experience!.
it's possible to link it with foods you hate and digusting other things and be not tempted at all to eat it!.

I don't know your mom, but that sounds like not a nice thing to do!. You should try discussing with her and your other family members about eating healthy!. Offer to go shopping with her!. Find some new recipes that are healthy but good!. There are tons of those if you look harder :)!. I'm sorry that I can't really help as much as I'd like to but I don't know what else you can do!. Ask her to hide it!? lol!. My mom used to hide chips and cookies in her room so me and my brother wouldn't eat them!.!.!.(not for diet reasons) but I figure the same concept would work!.

Secondly!.!.!.offer to cook!. If your trying to eat healthy, but she's cooking mac and cheese covered in gravy (wow that sounds gross)!.!.!.!.maybe if you offer to cook instead she will buy what you need for dinner!.

Otherwise, your kind of screwed!. I know that sounds mean, but unless she is willing to buy you things for JUST you!. Like healthy snacks, so when your dying for that cookie, you can go take a few bites of sugar free ice cream or something!. Go to the grocery store with her and choose the most nutritious foods you can!. Great choices are whole grain bread and crackers, fruit juice sweetened jam, cottage cheese or 2% American if you like that, whole grain cereal (with less than 10 grams of sugar per serving), low or reduced fat chips (corn!) and salsa, baby carrots and hummus (our favorite snack!), whole grain wraps and sliced turkey, Healthy Harvest pasta (by Ronzoni), plain yogurt and berries to mix in, chicken breast and lots of veggies to saute, tons of salad stuff, canned tuna and/or chicken, and eggs (hard boil, scramble, or make omelettes)!. Olive oil for cooking with and Smart Balance (good for toast, cooking eggs, or baking)!. Try to stay away from hydrogenated oils, white flour, sugar, and packaged processed foods!. There are so many healthier options these days, thank goodness!.
That should keep you busy for a while, and while you're at it, try to buy a good cook book or get some recipes off the internet!. (try allrecipes!.com or epicurious!.com)
