Getting cut with Pull-ups, Push-ups, Dips, and cardio?!

Question: Getting cut with Pull-ups, Push-ups, Dips, and cardio!?
I have been lifting weights for the majority of my life!. I am 26 years old, 6'3 and I weigh 225 pounds!. I have a lot of muscle but some extra fat!. I was wondering if I stopped lifting weights and started just doing pull ups, push ups, and dips and also doing cardio if it would cut me up (decrease some body fat)!. Would I loose much muscle in the process of loosing body fat!? Also, has anyone only done these types of exercises and seen results!? I was thinking about doing like pushups one day, cardio the next, then pull ups the next, follwed by cardio the day after, and then dips the next!. I think that I am going to take a rest from weights because I am already bug enough!. Feed back would be great from anyone out there!. I am not drasticly overweight but I do have a little extra fat I would like to shed!. My style of lifting weights is very heavy but I still do 6-8 reps per set!.
Thank you for all who answer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, unlike "The Hulk" I'm not going to give you a spelling lesson!. And also unlike "The Hulk," I am going to actually answer your question!. Why did he even throw some of that stuff in there!.!.!. like the obvious nutrition stuff!?!?!? Anyways,
dips, pull ups, and push ups are great for toning muscles because of the lighter weight!. Your program sounds like a good one and it sounds like using only your body weight it going to confuse your muscles!.!.!. which is ALWAYS a good thing!. Keep up the lifting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Note: It's lose not loose!. (And losing, not loosing!.)

The short answer:

Lifting a LOT of weight, for a few reps, is good for strength!.
Lifting a LITTLE weight, for many reps, is good for endurance!.

If you want to get cut up you have to lift enough weight that you get tired after 10-14 reps!. Any less reps than this and you're working on your strength!. Any more reps and you're working on your endurance!.

So your 6 to 8 reps is too few!. Drop some of that weight so you now get tired after something closer to 12!.

Also, watch your diet!. No junk food, and lots of carbs and protein!.

(That's the short answer!. The long answer I don't have room for!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
