Look for my answer there. I hope you aren't pregnant. If your last period was super light or non-existant, then you might be. If you hate exercise, then sneak it in here and there, like walking to a friend's house that's fairly close (only if your parents give you permission and you feel that it is safe, I always suggest going in groups for safety, or at least let everyone know when you leave and when you arrive and the route you'll take...it's a crazy crazy world), playing sports you like, taking stairs instead of elevators. It doesn't sound like you have a very good support group, so you are probably looking to make connections and feel accepted. Bad ways to try to feel better: having sex with boys, eating all the time & bad stuff at that (candy, ice cream...), trying get attention (sexy pics up on the net or chat rooms and even revealing clothes in public). It's only July and you are looking to lose ten pounds or so...no huge rush. Don't listen to people calling you fat. Why are they telling you anyway? Even if you were big, which you are not, what is their point? Are they at all overweight? Or maybe just unhappy with their lives? They are, maybe without even realizing it, trying to make you feel insecure to make themselves feel better. If they say you have gotten fat, then just say "so?" A somewhat loving response would be "I'm just worried about your health." You can tell them that negative reinforcement (being mean to get a desired result) often doesn't work in girls or women, since they are more in tune emotionally. Also, they provide your food, so it should be healthy things like I described in my other response (copy and past link from beginning of this post) and not quick/unhealthy meals and snacks (along the lines of frozen main courses, like lasagna, chips, sodas, mac 'n' cheese). Maybe if you got the frozen meals from trader joe's it might be better...just as a side note. Also, even if you've gained, you always have good features. Maybe is your curves, or pretty cheekbones, nice collar bone, long legs, or shapely legs (even if short)...find some good things and play them up. Growing up my sister called me heavy, even though she was 50+ pounds heaver than me and a good 4-5 inches shorter, so being called fat doesn't mean you're fat, other people are just cruel and feel bad about themselves (I was never really small, but was medium -sz 5 or 7-, and a runner and volleyball player). How tall are you?The rule of thumb is at 5 ft you should be 100 lbs (give or take 5/10 for bone structure) and 5lbs+ for every inch above that, so a woman that is 5' 7" could be 135, but feel comfortable at 140 if not small-boned. Don't get down on yourself, and do good in school, and tell yourself you will succeed in life and what ppl say won't affect you, and remind them what they said to you when they ask for help later on!
