Saturated fat should not constitute more than 10% of your daily calories!. There are 9 calories per gram of fat!. So, for example, if you are consuming 2000 calories a day, you should not be eating food containing more than 200cals worth of fat, ie 200/9 = no more than 22g saturated fat (from animal products)!.

100g chicken breast with no skin contains about 2!.5g saturated fat!. A glass of full cream milk contains around 9!.5g of saturated fat and 1 teaspoon of butter contains 5g saturated fat!.

No diet should be fat free but try to stick to health fats, such as polyunsaturated, olive oil, avocadoes and nuts!. They have been shown to reduce bad LDL cholesterol!. However, they contain same amount of calories as saturated fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a healthy range is around 25% of the fat intake!. say you consume 1,500 cals!. 20% is the minimum amount of calories that should be derived from fats so that would be 300 cals or 33 grams of fat!. then 33 x !.25 = 8 grams

All of the above are misguided and incorrect!.

There is not one, not one research study that can say that saturated fat contributes to heart disease!. Its a bunch of marketing to sell products and make big pharma rich!.

Don't believe me!? I challenge you to find even one long-term, credible ounce of research that has been undertaken that can say with any degree of certainty (not just opinion) that saturated fat contributes to heart disease!. In fact, the oppiste is more true!.

Challenge on people!.!. don't critisize, rise to the challenge!.

it's highest recommended a third of all the fat u get in ur diet!. so if u get 30grams of fat make sure that there is less than 10grams of saturated fat, just an example!. but try as much as possible to avoid saturated fat, even though it is very hard to do as there is some sat fat in good fats too!. But aim for the good unsaturated fat though!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your diet each day, should consist of about 30% fat; 40% carbs; and 30% protein!. Of the 30% fat you eat, that should be broken down as follows:

The so called "food experts" that are nothing more than "hired guns" of the food industry to sell products will not tell you that primitive men and women, from Neanderthal about 30,000 years ago to about 400 years ago when sugar was introduced into the diet, had perfect teeth with NO cavities, NO plaque build up on their teeth, perfect jaw formations and resistant to diseases, unlike modern man that is generating more diseases than has ever been known!. These people, like the Inuits (Eskimos), Massai tribe in Africa, the Aborigines in Australia, all eat mostly meat in their diet high in saturated fats! The Eskimos eat only wild fish and wild game 9 months out of the year and do not have heart disease!. Many of these people ate very little vegetables and fruits!. The problem is not eating meat, but HOW THE MEAT IS GROWN!. Cows that feed on free range grasses produce totally different meat than those grown in feed lots that are fed grain!. Grass fed cows have high omega 3 fatty acids and grain fed cows very high omega 6 fatty acids!

To eliminate the very thing that makes you healthy is ludicrous!. So you need to avoid the bad fats like, Vegetable oils (Canola, Soybean, Cottonseed, and Corn Oils) because these are polyunsaturated and the weak double bonds cause them to go rancid sitting on the grocer's shelf and when you consume them, just the heat of your body converts the "sis" configuration to the "trans" configuration and the oxidize to form TRANS FATS in your body!. This was proven in an open demonstration by a Harvard Professor in a large open forum demonstration to a large group of food industry people and rejected by them due to the huge amount of profit that would be lost if they admitted this!.

You need to free yourself from the lies you believe by becoming educated and stop listening to the crazy people that are dragging this country into destruction by disease!. In 1905 the CDC reported less than 5% of Americans were chronically ill!. Very little vegetable oils, hydrogenation, and mostly lard, real butter, etc!. were used extensively at that time!. In 2005, just 50 years later, over 53% of Americans are reported chronically ill, over 30% are OBESE and over 70% are overweight!. These large corporations that are promoting this garbage have PROFIT over HEALTH motivations and companies like MONSANTO that are creating genetically engineered foods are perpetuating the insanity and leading the world into destroying the very thing that keeps us healthy, BIODIVERSITY!.
