Dips, Pullups, and Pushups?!

Question: Dips, Pullups, and Pushups!?
I have been lifting weights for the majority of my life!. I am 26 years old, 6'3 and I weigh 225 pounds!. I have a lot of muscle but some extra fat!. I was wondering if I stopped lifting weights and started just doing pull ups, push ups, and dips and also doing cardio if it would cut me up (decrease some body fat)!. Would I loose much muscle in the process of loosing body fat!? Also, has anyone only done these types of exercises and seen results!? I was thinking about doing like pushups one day, cardio the next, then pull ups the next, follwed by cardio the day after, and then dips the next!. I think that I am going to take a rest from weights because I am already bug enough!. Feed back would be great from anyone out there!. I am not drasticly overweight but I do have a little extra fat I would like to shed!. My style of lifting weights is very heavy but I still do 6-8 reps per set!.
Thank you for all who answer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
the best way of getting cut is by lifting lower weights, but higher reps!. so lets say you are benchin 225 for your 6-8 reps now, go down to 185 and rep it like 15 or more times!. instead of increasing muscle mass like you do with the heavy weights, low reps, you will become more defined with the lighter weights, high reps!. you don't want to decrease your weight too much though, if you are doing like around 20 reps, then you went down too much!. as for the dips, push ups, and pull ups go, they will all help to become cut as long as you keep your reps up!. cardio should be done almost everyday, it will definitely help get those extra pounds off!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you want to cut, its best if you continue to keep doing the weight lifting!. otherwise, yeah, there is a chance you'll lose some of your muscle mass!. there is no reason to stop the weight training!. its helpful in losing fat, burn calories and keeps your muscles from wasting while you are on a lower calorie diet!. Lower your calories a bit and add some cardio, that should be enough to cut down on some of the fat!. I would go ahead and add the dips, pullups and push ups!. They are great exercises and can be done weighted as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
