Question: Trying to touch my toes!!!!?
I have been in dance for 3 years and all pretty much all the girls can touch their toes! I'm tall and have long legs and arms and Im only like 10 cms away but i just cant touch them! Can someone help please!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The problem is with your hamstrings!. They are the muscles in the back of your legs!. They need to be stronger!. The stronger they become the more flexible they are!. What you now have is very strong quadriceps muscles(front thigh) to such an extent that they have overpowered the hamstrings!. To correct this problem you need to work on them!. If you have access to a gym there are two excellent movements to do!. Stretching should not be an issue since, at least I think you have been working out on the bar!. The movements are a horizontal leg curl and either the good morning or dead lift!. You only need to use light weights with these and this will also prevent an injury!. Do the movements slowly!. The best thing to do is get with a qualified trainer at the gym and have them show you the correct form!. Form is everything in lifting!. If you do not have access to a gym then do this movement at home!. Take some light weights or cans of soup!. Stand up holding the weights and slowly bend forward!. Continue to do so until you feel your upper body begin to move instead of the hips!. With time you will find that this will be further into the movement!. Do this ten times and rest for thirty seconds to one minute and repeat!. Do this three times!. The best way is at the gym!. Continue to work out on the bar and it will all come into place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
