Question: Whey Protein Before/During or After Workout for Best Results!?
I asked this question previously, but I don't really think I got the answer I was looking for!. Say if I'm going to do a hard work out for 20 min: 10min on treadmill, 5min curls, 5min sit-ups, would I get better muscle growth if I took Whey Protein before, during, or after the workout!? Whey Protien is the number 1 thing to use when working out!. it will help in recovering your muscles!.

The Best Times to Take Your Protein Shake in Order of Importance:

1!. Immediately after a workout - muscles need immediate protien to recover or else they will take it from other muscles!. this means you loose muscle
2!. One hour after a workout - your muscles are still in their recovery session and the more protien, the better!.
3!. First thing in the morning - when you wake up in the morning your body is starving and depleted of protien and is looking for it!. take some whey and 45 min!. after, eat a big breakfast!. this will jumpstart your bodies ability to use protien effectively
4!. Last thing before bed - in order not to lose muscle overnight, take some whey!. casien protien digests really slowly so you will have protien circulating through your body all night!.
5!. With meals - if your eating a meal that doesnt include protien, whey will probably be a good idea!.

of course i'm not saying to take protien 5 times a day, but these are the best times to take it!. only take protien once a day!. You dont workout much anyways and too much protien can cause liver problems!.

The way I do it, and its worked out very well so far, is after my workout I immediatley have a protien shake followed by a high protien and high carb meal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well first of all I don't think you need a protein supplement if your workout is that light!.

But to answer your question anyways, for best results you are supposed to take it within 20-30 minutes of (the end of) your workout!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take the protein right after!. If you are looking to get bigger by taking whey you should add to that workout!. 10 minutes on the treadmill won't do much for you!. Try to bump it up to at least 20 and add in more weights!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your suposed to take it bout 20 min before!.!.!.!.!.!.right after!.!.!.!.and before you go to sleep!.!.!.!.during the night is when ur muscles really grow soo make sure u take it before u go 2 bed : )Www@Answer-Health@Com
