The problem with drinking an energy drink is this!.!.!.
When you are done with your workout, your glycogen stores are going to be depleted!. This is the best time for your recovery drink or post workout shake!. The body is like a sponge with the quick digesting carbs and pulls them in quickly!. Along with this, the fast digesting proteins get into your system quicker!. If you drink an energy drink, you are replenishing these glycogen stores with the sugar in the drink and therefore will not have the added bonus at the end of your workout!.
I would suggest that you either stick with water or mix a recovery blend (5g whey protein and 20g fast acting carbs) that you can drink during your workout if you don't want straight water!.
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the energy drink contains caffeine then it will cause a spike of insulin release thus lowering your blood sugar level!. This spike will be followed by a lowering of energy and the rest of your workout will suffer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
