2 Muscles groups a day or upper/lower body?!
Question: 2 Muscles groups a day or upper/lower body!?
Hi, I've been working out for a few months now, trying to gain muscle mass, and I've heard two things: One is that I should work the upper body, then lower body the next day, and then have rest day, and repeat!. The other is that I should work two muscle groups a day exclusively, such Back and Legs, Chest and Shoulders, and Biceps and Triceps, and then rest, and then repeat!.
The downsides Ive heard about these is that the first one I don't exercise the groups enough, and the other argument for the other exercise is that I get too much rest!.

It depends on how hard you train, if you are trying to build muscle mass, then I'm guessing your training your muscles very hard with heavy weights and low reps!.
If thats the case you should only train each muscle group 1 or 2 times per week, rest is very important especially if you train hard because those muscles need lots of rest!. If you do work a muscle group twice a week, make sure you have 48 hours of rest in between!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not about "what's better" it's about what suits you to give you the best results-I don't know that-and that's something you'll need to keep tweaking!
You should change your workouts every 4-6 weeks-For example for 5 weeks I might do, Upper Body, Cardio, Lower body, Cardio, Upper Body, Rest
The next 4-6 weeks
Chest/Back Cardio
Shoulders Arms Cardio
Legs Cardio
Cardio
Chest/Back Cardio
Shoulders/ Arms
Rest
When I'm first training: if I've been off for a while for 1 month I'll work out all the body parts in 1 day then cardio next 2 days etc!.!.!.to build a foundation-
I personally prefer
Chest and triceps
Back Shoulders Biceps
Legs
Rest or just cardio

otherwise youll be overworking
and two for doing upper one day lower another that is true you prob wont work out hard enough
unless you put in compound movements and do the 2 most effective exercises for each muscle group
im going to start doing that lower body one day upper the next and take a day off in a few weeks and switch up the exercises or reps and up the weights every week !.

Upper and lower body includes those muscle groups!. So train hard on upper 1 day and hard lower the other and bam----muscle massWww@Answer-Health@Com
