Are these normal side effects of the atkins diet?!


Question: Are these normal side effects of the atkins diet!?
I recently decided to go on the atkins diet!. I read up on it and thought it didn't sound so bad!. Needless to say I lasted two days!. By the end of day two I had a severe migraine, was vomiting had tightness in my chest and was near fainting! I broke down that night as I figured it was the diet causing this and ate some licorice which seemed to alleviate these symptoms to a degree along with some alieve!.I'm kind of thinking now that I may have some blood sugar problem because normally if I don't have sugar I become easily fatigued but have been tested for diabetes in the past!. Are these normal side effects of the atkins diet!? Or should I be worried!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I actually feel better while on the Atkins!. So I'm not sure if its "normal", but I wouldn't say it was uncommon either!.

Some people get headaches from withdraw of the carbs & sugars!.!.!.or caffeine!. (When I cut out sodas on the diet I had massive headaches, but it was from the caffeine withdraw)!.

If you become easily fatigued without some foods you may want to get tested again!. Because their are two different types of diabetics, some produce too much sugar!.!.!.thus having to take insulin shots!.!.!.and others produce to much insulin so they tend to need to eat every hour to avoid fainting!.

If you do need carbs in your diet in order not to feel sick, I suggest avoiding the Atkins diet!. Try a diet like weight watchers instead!.

Vomiting is not a normal side effect of any diet!. Headaches can be caused by sudden changes in diet, but not a "severe migraine" It's not normal to have severe migraines at all, ever!. You know that!. Most people will never have one in their entire lives!.

Most Americans eat a lot of fat and protein, so I think it's typical to feel pretty good on the Atkins!. If you never ate any fat at all, and then went on it, I think it would be a little bit of a shock!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used Atkins and lost about 40 pounds in 2 and 1/2 months!. So it worked great for me!. If you do decide to do it just make sure you follow it strictly for the 1st 2 weeks during induction!. When craving sugar I recommend you have one of the Atkins Shakes or meal bars!. You can get them at a place like Imedmart!.com They have the lowest prices on the net!. They don't sell them in stores anymore so you have to get them off line!.

I lost weight fast on the Atkins diet, but!.!.!.
I had painful cramps on my legs even taking vitamins and potassium!.
I started getting bad vertigo whenever I moved my head!.

Maybe!.!.!.A true Dr!. Atkin's diet doesn't totally eliminate carbs, good carbs, which your body burns differently!. Instead of breads and simple sugars like candy, which your body burns first, (before fat), try some type of raw fruit, veggies, or grains!. These will give you some carbs but also fiber, and absorb a little fat!. Eat lean meats, and don't totally cut out veggies that your body will benifit from!. Mayo Clinic is similar, but uses a combination of green veggies with lean meat!. There is also a "body type" diet that analyzes your best diet, by symptoms etc!.
If you are hypoglycemic, you will need to eat small meals more frequently, snacking on raw fruit!.
fyi if you lcount calories, you'll see that raw fruits have very little calorie count!. Simple sugars are not a good cure for low sugar!. You just burn it up faster and get hypoglycemic again, sooner!. It shouldn't have caused those severe symptoms that soon!. Some meats are very greasy but I wonder if some of it is psychosomatic because you read about how bad the diet was for you!. I hated one brand of diet food so badly, I couldn't even try another entre because it was packaged in the same color box!. My body triggered sickness when i looked at it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
