My diet isnt working..whats wrong?!
Question: My diet isnt working!.!.whats wrong!?
So I am on week 4 of my diet!. I am 6'2 just shy of 22yrs old
started at 222 now about 215!.!. after week 1 i fluctuate up and down a few pounds but never got lower than 214!.7
I changed my eating habits (not that I ate terrible but I improved) to eating more protein and fruits and vegetables, staying away from too many carbs other than a slice or 2 of whole wheat bread and a bowl of wheaties in the morning!.!.!.
Week 1 - I just changed my diet and did regular house chores(inside and out) - lost 7lbs
Week 2 - I began lifting weights again to build muscle mass and increase metabolism (I know muscle weighs more than fat)
Week 3 - Same as week 2 with some more cardio - but also "cheated" a few days due to special occasions!.!.!. and skipped a few workouts
Currently on week 4!.!.!. I drink plenty of water!.!.!.
My only idea is that I need to step up my cardio!.!.!. My goal weight is 185-195

Your cardio didn't start till week 3!. You need to keep at least 3 days a week (40min to hour) workouts a piece mixed with cardio and resistance (weights) combined with your diet and you'll see better results!. Hang in there! It takes about 3 weeks to really develop a new habit!. Make this habit good one! I just started trying to lose wight too!. Good to see other out there going for it!. Don't think of it as a diet but just as changing life habits!. And don't be so obsessed with numbers!. I'm exercising to look and feel better!. I'm 3 months in and haven't stepped on a scale yet!. I already feel better and things are looser!. Once I do step on a scale I hope it will be a nice surprise!. Also, with your workouts, listen to your body!. Don't hurt yourself but when you feel you can go a bit more or longer, go for it!. You'll only get stronger!.
And another thing!. Starting and ending your workouts with cardio is very beneficial!. Don't kill yourself but a little more cardio at the end is great for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, i'm not sure if you are counting calories- but i find that is the best way!. for your stats i'd say try not to consume more than 2000 cal/day(the lowest being 1200, otherwise you will go into 'starvation' mode)!.
also, i would try exercising at least 30 min(cardio) a day and weights 3 days a week!. be patient and keep it up!
also try not to eat 3 hours before you go to bed!.

hmmm!.!.!.well!.!.!.!. i dont no how much friut ur having but friut does have carbs so b careful!.!.!.!.also, yes i would do more cardio!.!.!.!.!. and to loose all the weight it does take time and ur body will be changing so if u have one bad week doesnt mean ur not doing something right!.!.!.!.!.lastly, make sure u weight urself at the same time a day!.!.!.!.like morning, morning, night, night!.!.!.!.i recommend morning (u always weight less)
