Why is so hard to qualify for heathe care asisistance?

I am 57 yrs old worked all my life at low paying jobs but because I work 60 hrs a week and get 20 hrs of overtime a week they say I make to much money. but they don't take into account with all that overtime they get over 30percent of my pay before i even see it. then just to have a roof over your head and groceries and the usual stuff that is necessary nothing fancy believe me . where can I find help with this.

Try looking for a community health clinic. Many larger cities have one, and they charge based on your income. I used to job shadow at one, and most of the patients were lower middle incomes and paid about $20 per visit. As for qualifying for health care, adults can't even get it in our state unless you are pregnant or disabled, then you have to be under poverty level! It's bad for adults, but almost all kids get health coverage. You could also try not working any overtime for a little while if you can afford to and qualify for insurance. Also, if you need care and can't afford it, hospitals can't deny you care because of your inability to pay, and if you're at least paying even just a little each month they cannot place collections on your account.
