Question: What can I eat to lose a little weight!?
I don't know how to eat 1200 calories a day!. I need to lose about 12 lbs!. Never have been fat but don't want to get that way!. I have a good breakfast,snack of raw carrots, slim fast for lunch, lean cuisine for supper and nothing else(peanut butter and ch!. milk once in a while!. I walk pretty fast for 30 min a day!. the easiest way to know what you are eating in a day is to read the back of your food labels!. It gives you a serving size and tells you how many calories are in the serving!.
You need to know exactly how many calories your body requires in a day!
1/4 cup brown rice = 170 calories
1 oz or 56 grams of pasta = 200 calories
1 medium baked potato = 80 calories
1 oz of chicken breast = 112 calories
3 oz steak =765 calories
Try to have the majority of your calories from Carbs 60 %(fruits, veggies, pasta, bread, rice) that's your main energy source
Have 20% protein ( lean meats or soy/tofu etc) the good news about plant protien is that it's saturated fat and cholesterol free
Have 20% fat from plants (nuts, flax oil, avocados, walnut oil)
Some people split the fat and have 10% saturated fat and the other 10% healthy fat!.
