Eating too fast and overeating! Help?!?!

Question:

Eating too fast and overeating! Help?!?

Sometimes I eat or drink too fast and get bloated. I also have a hard time not eating anymore when I am full. I can eat a whole chicken pot pie or box of mac n cheese. Going out to eat is really bad because it takes enormous self control not to eat those enormous plates of delicious food.
I am thirteen years old and normal weight (thank god for teen metabolism) but I need help to slow down my chompers. And how do you not pig out at restaurants? And what can I do from eating a whole family dinner when my parents don't want what I make up? Any advice would be great, thanx...

Answers:

Wow trobop, because your comment was well helpful (sarcasm...If you hadn't guessed...) Well I think it's all good to have a healthy appetite. Why would you want to stop eating dinner and eating at restaurants? Surely that's the whole point of meal times and going out to restaurants? To eat? To enjoy the types and tastes of the food? If you think your overeating when you know your already full try substituting it for lots of water...Cold water especially..that makes you feel full and if you feel your gonna overeat, grab your shoes and head out...go for a walk for half an hour and when you get back home have a hot bath or read a book or just doing something instead of overeating! But seriously, if you wanna treat yourself just do it, your 13, not 33, don't ruin your life by obsessing about food and feeling guity everytime you have a piece of chocolate. You have your health, you have family, you have life. Forget the rest. Live it while your here. Good luck.
