Will running 1 mile every day ensure that I lose some extra fat around my body?!

Question: Will running 1 mile every day ensure that I lose some extra fat around my body!?
I am 21 years old, 6' tall and weigh 180lbs!. I'm in average shape for a person my age, even though I don't work out!. My whole life I was always very skinny, until about 17 years when I finally started putting some weight on my frame!. Eventually I let my self go a little and now I have some flab on my stomach and on my pecks!. I recently started working out to get back into shape!. My goal is to be healthy, toned muscles, and lose the excess body fat!. I don't care to be a huge body builder!. Just wan't to be in good shape for a 21 year old!. Ive hit the weights and feel good about my workout!. However, after I'm done with the weights, I like to run on the treadmill to lose that extra fat!. I set my goal at 1 mile a day, since that seems like a good amount to run!. So I wanna know I'm by running that mile a day+lifting weights, will I lose that little body fat!? Remember I don't need to lose mega pounds, just about 3-4 lbs of fat would be good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everyone is a little different but the best plan for loosin weight is to stick to a weight lifting routine that will build lean muscle (pick a weight that allows to you do 10 reps and struggle to get to 15)!. You also need cardio but you need to focus on whats called interval training!. Sprint for 1 min and then walk for two!. Try to alternate your days; Mon weights, Tues cardio and so on!. Make sure you eat complex carbs and a lot of protien and you should be good to go!. Oh and drink plenty of water!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to incoporate 20 - 30 minutes of cardio to do yourself any good!. I'm a LOT bigger than you and even walking for 30 minutes gets me almost 2 miles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will certainly help but you also have to alter your diet a bit; cut down on the fats, carbs and sugars!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

At First 1 Mile will Do, But Try To move It Up To 2 miles soonWww@Answer-Health@Com

yea, but it also depends on what you eatWww@Answer-Health@Com

I should say so, yes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably not, since that will take you only 15 minutes or less - depending on how fast you can run!. You won't burn off a whole lot of calories in that amount of time!. That being said, its a combination of diet and exercise that will change your shape!. Begin eating more healthy foods (cut back on fats and sugars, eat more fruits, veggies, and lean protein), AND increase your exercise as well!. Your goal should be at least 30 minutes of exercise per day!.

If you don't think you'll enjoy running that much, you can try biking, aerobics, or other cardio activity!. If you would rather walk than run, you should plan to double the amount of time you exercise since you'll burn calories at a significantly reduced rate!.

If all else fails, try WeightWatchers!. I lost 30 pounds on the program and have kept it off for almost 3 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
