Question: Losing 20 pounds of fat by June 22nd!?
I want to lose 20 pounds of fat by June 22nd, I'm a guy, 19 years old, 6'2" tall, medium frame, 249 pounds!. I do an hour on a stationary bike everyday, plus I got a bowflex, and I do bicep and tricep weight lifting with free weights!.

I've been eating mostly salad, skinless chicken breast, and spicy pinto beans!. I drink nothing, but water and unsweetened iced tea!. However, I hit plateau, I lose 70 pounds in about six months, and now I'm finding this last 20 to 30 I want to lose is ridiculously hard!. How can I break this plateau, I added 15 minutes on the stationary bike, and been taking green tea fat burner pills everyday now to "help"Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like you are doing great on your diet, if anything maybe you need a few extra calories to boost up your energy and help your metabolism out!. If you are working out, you need to be getting at least 1800!.

Also one of the main reasons for weight loss plateau is that your body has become accustomed to your work-out routine, change it up!.!.!.!.switch to another piece of cardio equipment just to give your muscles a shock!.!.!.or really put on the intensity level on your bike!.

A key to know if you are lifting enough weight to challenge your muscles is when you do a set, you should not be able to do more than 12 reps!.!.!.!.my professor told us that 10 is a good number to be worn our by!. If you get to 12 and feel like you can keep on lifting, that means it is time to add weight!.

So there you go, add a few more calories and change up your work-out routine!.!.!.!. I do an hour of cardio as well and when I tend to hit a peak, I will change up my cardio by doing 15 minutes of four different pieces of equipment!.!.!. if you are not at the gym!.!.!.!.at home you can do jump ropes, high kicks, run, walk!.

Try jogging or walking-just doing the bike isn't enough for cardio-when you switch it up you're cross training your body-so focus on doing different cardio!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should leave food on your plate, only eat when hungry, take small portians, no 2nds!.!.!.ever!!! and reduce your screen time (computer,tv,video games, ect!.!.!.) to 1hr a day, it will force you to go outside and play!. play with a pet (dog or cat) if you have one and take them on walks(dogs) and play with a bouncy ball with them (cats) outside!. Chase your kitty around and throw the bouncy ball everywhere!. go outside and play basketball, soccer, or go to the local park with a sibling to play baseball!.only eat when you are hungry, and if u have a snack, make it be a fruit or veggie!. and also work our!. do cardio (swimming, running walking, anything that gets ur heart moving) 4-6 times a week!. also do sit-ups, push-ups, crunches, and weight lifting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, im a well respected Nutritional Dietician in my area!. I too had a little extra belly fat (by a little i mean 50 pounds overweight)!. Over last summer I went from 200 pounds to 160! It wasnt at all too hard!. I have to say the hardest part was the begining!. Your body is so used to being overweight that it thinks its "normal" for it to be this way, eventually could lead to more weight!. Losing 20 pounds in 2 months is not hard at all once you get into the hang into it!. Heres some great tips!.

1> Keep low (not eliminate) on carbs (thier your body's first source of energy, so that will burn before protein or fat!.

2> Mantain a high protein diet, however assure that the proteins you consume are lean and not fatty (tip: if your buying steak, the leanest part of the cow is beef round)

3>Keep your metabolism at peak level (see metabolism tips below)

4> Keep far away from High Fructose corn syrup (this high processed sugar is like the saturated fat of the carbs)

5> Limit your consumption of saturated fat ( this fat is so dense, and takes so long to breakdown, 5/8 times it will be stored in your fat globules in the body!.)

6> Absolutely NO Soda (sorry for you soda drinkers, its nothing but empty calories, and it really spikes you blood sugar!. this stuff increases the risk of diabetes, promotes tooth decay, and in some people induces stress)

7> Drink alot of water ( i know i know, its clear boring and really has no taste!. Trust me on this one though!. Try downing a whole glass of water before each meal!. You may just eat 1/3 the calories in that meal belive it or not!.)

8>I love pancakes and waffles (don't eat them, pure carbs)

9>Try a Glucomannan supplemt (when taken, it expands in the stomach, filling you up!.)

10> Keep a thin state of mind

11> consume under 1000 calories a day, and try to keep a food journal (fitday!.com) it really keeps you on track and you can track your progress really well!.

12> EXERSIZE! (I dont care what you do, just as long as you get up and do something thats seriously all it takes!. when you sit and do nothing, you burn extremely little calories, just by standing you burn 3x calories than sitting, now imagine exersizing!)

*>Another tip i've learned along the way is keeping you metabolism at peak level (the metabolism you can think of as your bodies calorie oven)!. How!? well try a Thermogenic!. a thermogenic is baisicly a metabolism booster!. It warms up your internal body temperature to assist in a higher calorie expediture!.

*>I personally have not tried this, but i heard graprefruit has a fat burning ability (with a good balance of exersize as well)
