What is best exercise (with or without equipment) that will target those inner thighs?

Here are a couple I really like...
1. Inner thigh lifts. Lie on your side with your legs extended straight. Place the foot of the top leg kind of in front of the knee of the bottom leg keeping the heel flat on the floor (may be a little higher than the knee if you're flexible). Keep the knee locked on the lower leg, flex that foot and turn the heel toward the ceiling a little. Now, SLOWLY raise and lower that bottom leg, never resting it on the floor until you're done with a set. Work up to 2 or 3 sets of 15 reps each, resting about 30 seconds or so between sets. You can add an ankle weight after you've done these for a while, but don't rush too quickly - if you pull a muscle there, you're gonna feel it for a while! I like the 5 pound ankle weights that have removeable 'bean bags' so they can be 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 pounds. Start with no weight, work on the form, then add 1 pound and work your way up to 5.

2. Get a body ball and sit on the floor with the ball between your knees. Your feet should be kind of under the ball, but not together. Place your hands on top of the ball to hold it in place and squeeze your knees together like you're trying to pop the ball. Hold it for a second then release slowly. Again work your way up to 2 or 3 sets of 15 reps, with a 30 second rest between sets. On the last set hold it as long as you can. You can also do this lying on your back and squeezing the ball with your knees (or squeeze it with your feet while lying on your back for a real challenge), but I like it sitting up because I can brush my teeth, talk on the phone or watch TV easier that way.

Wish I could demonstrate, there are books and probably websites where you could find pictures or video.

You will feel this the next day, give yourself a day between, be patient with yourself, work your way up. I guarantee you will begin to feel significant results within after a week or so.

Keep in mind too that this will tone the muscle, any fat still has to be burned through diet and aerobic exercise. But once you reduce your total body fat, those inner thigh muscles will be strong and beautiful! Good luck to you!
