what kind of exercise? what kind of a diet? when to do this?

I could tell you, but I'm not going to.

Because losing weight fast is the wrong way to do it.

Losing weight slowly, at a rate of a pound or two per week is
a) healthier
b) more likely to stay off rather than gaining it back again after.

Any kind of regular exercise, and a sensible healthy diet (avoiding processed foods, refined sugars, and unhealthy fats) should do the trick. If you are already doing this and not losing weight, look at your portion size.
