What are some good standard warm ups to do before working out, like what exercises and how many repeats/sets/ etc!.!.!.

I've never heard of standard warm ups, except in some sports like boxing where they usually do skipping to warm up!. But i do know, that a warm up is used to prepare your whole body mentally and physically for the exercise session ahead!. Mentally by allowing your brain a less intense way to adapt to the following exercise and physically by preparing the body so as to prevent injury and make you ready for the the work ahead!.

Your goal for a warm up is to make sure:
1!. your sweating (can take 5-15 minutes depending on how fit you are!.!.!.the more fit you are the longer it will take)
2!. all your muscles are warm/hot and loose and not cold
3!. it is intense and raises the heart rate

Achieving these goals can be done by doing any physical movement like, for example running, skipping, jogging on the spot, waving your hands or legs around safely, dancing to your favorite music, or if you want you can do the main exercises that you will do after the warm up but to a lower intensity !. Then finish off with some light stretching!. The warm up is one of the funnest parts of an exercise session!. Let your imagination run wild!. Have a blast! ^^ )Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on what your working out!. On Back Day I do 3 sets of chin ups FIRST to get those back muscles warmed up!. I try and do the same number of reps each set!. On Chest Day the first exercise I do is the bench press!. I do one warm up set before I do my 3 sets!. Arms for biceps I do a warmup set on the barbell curl before I start Biceps!. For Triceps I do 3 sets of dips first!. On shoulder day I do one warmup set doing the military dumbbell press!. On leg day I do 3 warmup sets on the leg press!. 1st set I do 8 reps, 2nd set I do 5 reps, 3rd set I do 3 reps!. For Hamstrings I do 3 sets of the Glute Ham Raise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
