Running bad for my knees?!


Question: Running bad for my knees!?
i love running!.!. i usually run like 2!.5 miles a day on avg!.!.

except yesterday i was doing some light weight lifting!. and when i did the one where u push with your legs, my knees hurt alot!.!. i felt like an old man or something!.!. could i be running too much!? should i take up swimming!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are serious about your running then it might be time to invest in a good pair of running shoes!. Any good sports store will have them!. That combined with a pair of running insoles will make a huge difference in your performance!. Not only will your speed increase but our knees will not hurt nearly as bad!. They shouldn't run you more than $100!.

If running is something you want to do for a long time, it would also be a good idea to do knee strengthening exersizes!. This will prevent knee problems later in life!.

this might sound really girly, but try some yoga!. It helps to stretch your muscles and helps you!. Also you can try water aerobics, that can help you with the knees!. If it worsens, go to a doctor!. You could be losing the cartilage in between your bones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
