Question: How can i gain weight!?!? this is seriously an issue!!?
i cannot seem to gain weight!. i eat as much as i can, before my stomach wants to burst!. ive tried shakes and weight gaining drinks!. i only weigh about 96lbs and im 5'5!. can someone help me!? i dont really have any medical issues!. hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)!. any advise would be great!Www@Answer-Health@Com

lol, beer!.!.!. I'm sorry your having this problem!. You must be very concerned!. I'm not a nutritionist but I've read things similar to what endurance said!. Many books I've read say that eating several small meals a day rather than 3 massive meals is healthier!. Most say around 6 small meals a day!. I've read that if you eat a huge meal all at once your body has to struggle to keep up and you produce a lot of acid!. I have a book called "nutrition for dummies" and it gives a formula for how many calories you need!.!.!. Let's see!.!.!. You would need to find your weight in kilograms!. One kilogram equals 2!.2 pds or 96 divided by 2!.2 = 43!.63kg!. Next you plug it into this equation which gives you your REE (resting energy expenditure) or the amount of calories needed without being active!. Your 25 so females 18-30 years: (14!.7 x weight in kg 43!.63) + 496 = 1137!.36!. This would be your mimimum calories needed per day if your not active!.
As far as the exact calories that you would need per day would depend on your amount of activity!. The "nutrition for dummies" book gives a general calorie chart for the calories you need for work!.!.!. Very light (painting, driving, playing cards)- 80-100 calories to Heavy ( walking with a load uphill, basketball, football, etc!.)- 250-300 calories!. I also know that depression and stress can cause appetite changes!. According to this book a person from ages 19 to 34 that is 5'5" should weigh 114-150 pds!.

The total amount of fat in your diet sould not exceed 30 percent of the calories you consume each day!. In other words, if your daily diet is about 2,000 calories, no more than 600 calories should come from fat!.

No more than 10 percent of the calories you consume should come from saturated fat!. On a 2,000 caloie diet, that's 200 calories for saturated fat!.

Carbohydrates (primarily the complex ones from fruits, vegetables, and whole grains) should account for 60 percent of your daily calories!. That's 1,200 on 2,000 calorie diet!.

You should get about 11!.5 grams of dietary fiber for ever 1,000 calories you consume!. That's 23 grams of fiber in a 2,000 calorie day

Water is important too!.!.!. Your suppose to drink half your body weight in ounces so you'd drink 48 or so ounces a day!. There are 8 ounces in a cup!.

Something interesting I read!.!.!. The average man's REE is 10 percent higher than the average woman's!. A 140 pd man can hold his weight steady while eating about 10 percent more than a 140 pd woman who is the same age and performs the same amount of physical work!. The average brain uses about one calorie every four minutes!. That's only one third the amount needed to keep a 60 watt bulb burning for the same length of time!.

Try a food log to see how many calories you are really eating!. And try for many small meals instead of three large meals!. http://www!.fitday!.com is free and you can log your food intake to get an idea how many calories you are getting!. I would say you want to aim for 2500 or more!. It just maybe your metabolism that causes you to eat and not gain weight!. As you get older it will go away!.

beer/ale yeast!. It has a lot of vitamin B, too!. It will make you gain weight in a week!. Either buy at pharmacies, as supplement, or in any place which specializes in brewing!.
