How can I change my attitude?!


Question: How can I change my attitude!?
I really need to gain weight but I seem to have an aversion to gaining it!. Can anyone help me to change my attitude that a lower number is better!? It's really really tough!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is tough to overcome our preoccupation with the scale, but you have to remember that a scale is a very dumb instrument!.

I'll give you an example: my friend is 5' 10" with a medium build so he "should" weigh 151-163 lbs!. What he does weigh is around 180!. From this, you'd think he is obese!. In truth he is the most in shape person I know!. The scale does not differentiate muscle weight from fat weight!.

If you are primarily focused on looking good, then forget the scale altogether!. Figure out what it is you want to do, put on tone, lose fat, get into better shape, or anything!. Then go ahead and design an exercise plan to accomplish that goal!. Then, take a picture of yourself and take one every week on the same day!. This should help you track your progress and keep you motivated!.

If you must do things by numbers, go ahead and buy some body fat calipers!. These are much better at indicating fitness and body health than a scale can ever be!. They do require more work but it sounds like you're willing to put in the effort!.

My Dear, Be thankful that you have a metabolism like that!. I've Also been like that all my life!. Now, that I'm 50!. my weight is Perfect!. I see @ 70% of the population walking around that are obese, and thinking to myself: Hey, I'm Good!Www@Answer-Health@Com
