Anyone lose weight with over-the-counter weight loss Alii minus the side effects!

Question:

Anyone lose weight with over-the-counter weight loss Alii minus the side effects?

The product is the first of its kind approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. The way it works is that it doesn't allow the body to absorb fat from food. The negative side effects are social in nature which is to say loose stools and oily runs.

You question is a good one.

As you know, Alli prevents the absorption of some fats from the diet. It works by inhibiting an enzyme in the pancreas that is responsible for breaking down triglycerides in the intestine. Without the enzyme, fats are prevented from becoming absorbable and may then be excreted undigested. It is estimated that the drug blocks approximately 25% of all fat in the diet. This sounds like a good thing. However, we need fat in our diet (for good neurological function, the protection of all the s]cells of your body etc.). We just need to be sure it is "good fat." (i.e. Omega 3 and Omega 6).

The unpleasant side effects include gas, incontinence, and oily spotting will likely continue as long if we continue to eat fatty foods. The main goal continues to be diet modification. For most people this is quite difficult, and therefore we hope something like Alli can help.

Rather than enduring uncomfortable and possibly embarrassing side effects in order to eliminate some of the fat from one’s diet, it is safer to simply consumer less fat and fewer calories to begin with.

A common misconception is that eating fat = getting fat.
The primary reason we gain weight is more related to sugar consumption in "high-glycemic" foods. This sugar cannot be used as energy and is then STORED AS FAT in our body (usually around the abdomen).

There are some very good ways to control this, without the need for risky medicine and uncomfortable side effects.

I have found success with the "Reset" program (see the link below) developed by Dr. Ray Strand to regain control over food addictions and make weight control permanent.

Best wishes and goof luck!

I can hunt down more info on this if you'd like.
