Calories; the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly?!


Question: Calories; the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly!?
I used to be 190!.
I've been on a diet and I now weight 132!.
I want to get down to 115!.
I eat 1,200 calories a day!.

My problem is that I've been eating a lot of fruit lately, and I'm not sure if the calories are BAD!.

By this I mean, my Dad tells me that I shouldn't count the calories in pure vegetables and most fruits so I don't!.

Nevertheless, I'm afraid that all the apples / grapes / strawberries I am consuming daily will make me gain weight!.

Should I stop!? I'm so confused!.

Answers:
All calories you consume must be counted!. Unfortuantely, they don't magically disappear (sad face!!)!. I'm not sure how much fruit you're eating but try not to eat too much, because they are full of naturally occuring sugars - which for sure is better than sugar in sweets (chocolate etc) but it is still sugar and can still be either used for energy or stored as fat!.
