Are fruit bowls (like Dole fruit cups) healthy?!


Question: Are fruit bowls (like Dole fruit cups) healthy!?
I have read in numerous magazines that the more fruits and vegetables the better in which I truly believe!. I am just wondering are those fruit cups healthy or should I just keep with the regular fruits!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The less processed your food is, the better it is for you!. Those fruit cups have all sorts of things added in for flavor, color and preservation!. Make your own fruit cups, using lemon juice to keep the apples from going brown, or just use pineapple juice instead!. But along with the regular fruit, you also get the peel- where most of the good nutrition is!. You don't get that in a commercial fruit cup!. They are a healthier choice than a candy bar or chips, yes- but not the absolute best choice, no!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Read them, are they packed in light or heavy syrup!? Not healthy! That is sugar and corn syrup and is not good for you!. If they are packed in no sugar added pear juice, that is better!. Or pineapple packed in its own juice with no sugar added!. You can find canned fruits packed in pear juice, often called "light"!. But if you can, the produce section is really the best place to get your fruit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not really!. they are very high in high fructose corn syrup, as leading cause of obesity!. It alters horomones that effect how full you feel!. It's subsidized by our federal government and the food lobby is putting this crap on the shelves!. Eat real whole foods:-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
