Question: My wife has tried numerous weight loss programs and I don't know what to do!?!?!!!!?
My wife was on a diet from may to sept 2007 and wen from 225 to 180!. Now she is back up to about 195-200!. We have done Weight Watchers- She didn't stick with it, ALLI- she didn't stick with it!. A week diet( didn't make it through the first two days)!. AND SHE SAYS I'M NOT BEING SUPPORTIVE b/c she has a schedual made up that hes is going to be 145-150 by October!. She gets mad at me because I told her that she would be boney!. I asked her what she wanted me to do to be more SUPPORTIVE!. But now she says she DOSN'T WANT MY SUPPORT!?!?!?!!!!

Well, it's funny really, because I really understand your wife and I feel sorry for you!. I have struggled with my weight for many years!. I have tried almost every diet out there!. Yes, some worked better than others!. But unfortunately, as soon as I went back to my normal way of eating!. All the weight piled back on, plus more!.

My husband has always tried to support me, although I know he has felt totally exhausted with it all at times!.

So 17 months ago we decided to change our lifestyle!. We set out to eat a healthy sensible diet and embarked on regular exercise!. The results were absolutely amazing!. I lost 48lbs and my husband lost 33lbs!.

We walked whenever we could, both bought bikes and now run on a regular basis!. This sounds like a lot, but we worked up to it in around 4 months!. The more you move the better!.

We had one another to talk to when we felt low!. We ate and drank exactly the same food indoors!. Cooked everthing from the start!. No ready made processed meals from the supermarket!. They are high in refined sugar and full of saturated fat!. They add pounds to the waistline!.

Kept all junk foods, ready made processed meals you buy in the supermarket, alcohol, and takeaway meals to an absolute minimum!. This included all biscuits, cakes, crisps, chocolate, sweets, etc!. They are all high in refined sugar and full of saturated fat!. Junk food is just what it says _ JUNK!. With one added ingredient in - FAT!.

Included more wholefoods into out diet!. Such as brown bread, brown rice, brown pasta, beans & pulses!. These are full of fibre and will keep you feeling fuller for longer!.

Eat lean meats (no fat on), poultry (no skin on), fish with scales on (no breadcrumbs or batter), eggs, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables (including potatoes) making sure we keep the carborhydrates plain and simple, low fat dairy products, skimmed milk, and non sugar cereals!.

Unfortunately, there is no magic formula when it come to weight loss!. If there was, we would all be slim!. You have to want to lose weight yourself!. You have to be positive, set yourself a goal and stick to it!.

It really is possible to achieve your goal!. I know, because I managed to and so did my husband!. It is just as possible to lose weight and it is to put weight on!.

I think it is all about making the right choices in food!. Once you have that balance it becomes much easier!.

Exercise also works wonders!. This will help to acelerate the weight loss!.

My husband and I started walking, riding our bikes, then jogging for a short period of time!. Now we both run on a regular basis!. It has totally changed our lives!. By the way we are both in our early 40s!. So it is never too late to start!.

I'm sorry I have gone on a bit!. I know that not all of this relevant!. But I just wanted to say that it is possible to lose weight and keep it off!.

I wish your wife lots of luck in her quest to lose weight!. I hope that it is possible for you to give her your support when needed!. I know it is difficult, as long as she knows that you really care this will make all the difference!.

You know what I think!? Those darn diet programs are not good!.
We have changed our life style and we buy only healthy stuff (no junk anymore in the house!!!!!) and we eat very healthy!. It is tough sometimes not to be tempted!.!.!.!.If you do not have the junk in the pantry you can and will not be tempted!.
Maybe if your whole household switched to healthy food this could work!. Also You and your wife should start to exercise together!. First of all its good for you but it also brings you guys out doing stuff together as a couple!.
So, switch to healthy foods (not much fat and not too much carbs) and work out!.

To loss the weight i think this option and its work for me:

eat more fruit
drink fresh juice
get detoxification
no junk food
no milk
no yogurt
no soda
drink natural water
sport (like exercise, running, walking, aerobic, swimming)
eat more salad
good sleep


the example eat menu :

Breakfast

Always same: juice presses fresh, as much as desirable, up to 14 ounce; fresh succulence as much as desirable, or salad fruit; when do you very hungry!. When not make difficult, sometimes fun replaced fruit every day that eaten at morning

Lunch

Fresh fruit juice, or carrot juice, 4 - 8 ounce, when does desirable!. Salad with fresh vegetable addition desirable and combination sandwich with cucumber or celery!.

Dinner

Fresh vegetable cocktail juice, soup cream cauliflower!. Potato boat or simple grilled chicken!. Garlic flavor string bean!. Salad green French!.

If I were you I would tell her how much you love her -- big or small!. Emphasize that you want her to be healthy and for the two of you to live a long life together!. Stress that her focus should be on a healthy lifestyle and not a number on the scale!. Suggest the two of you cook healthy meals together, go on long walks after dinner, go to a sporting goods store and buy some hand weights!. Don't tell her you're being supportive, show her you're being supportive!. Once she starts losing some weight, compliment her on how healthy she's looking and how much happier she seems, not on how much thinner she looks!.
