Question: How does not eating make u lose ur hair!?!?
I've stopped eating alot for a while and at first nothing happened but now I'm losing my hair!.!.!.!.!.why is that!?!?!?

You have to have a balanced diet to have your body function!. You need protein!. It will take you months to get your hair back if you havent screwed it up to badly!. This is why we have a food pyramid !.!.!. read it , look at it, do it!.

Your body requires you to put in at least 1700 cals/day to keep it fueled for everyday wear and tear!. If you stop putting gas in your car-it doesn't run=not enough food-body can't do everything it needs to!.
Your hair is made of protein-when you don't eat, your body is forced to eat up it's own muscles to use the protein it needs!.
That means that the protein that would go to repairing and growing your hair is now Not Available for that anymore!
Make sure you are eating at least 3-4 small meals every day and snacking on things like nuts (protein!) and veggies (fiber)!.

I guarantee you it is the beginning of protein starvation!. I know this from experience!. I was malnourished for 16 years due to complications with weight loss surgery and I ended up bald on the top of my head and have permanent discoloration of my skin on my chest and forehead from protein starvation!. I also suffered muscle wasting from protein starvation!.

I eventually had to have my entire stomach removed and cannot absorb any nutrients from food at all!. If I don't drink my protein shakes on the regular basis; my hair starts falling out again!. If I don't take all of my vitamins regularly I get weak and my skin turns a greyish color!.

A multi vitamin is not going to do it!. You HAVE to have protein! I can't tell you what a miserable experience it was for me when I was malnourished and they thought that I would DIE on the operating table because of it!.

You MUST have an adequate amount of protein!. A lot of Protein is found in many foods like: Lean meats, chicken, eggs, turkey, beans, peas, fish and a lot of different dairy items including: cheddar cheese, skim milk, swiss cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese and muenster cheese!.

While it is the lack of protein that is causing your hair to fall out, if you don't get other nutrients from different foods you are in danger of iron anemia, low potassium (could cause a heart attack), osteoporosis (lack of calcium) and a ton of other diseases and disorders that can cost you your life!.

Take it from someone who knows first hand what starvation is like; you NEED to eat enough food in order to maintain nutrition and stay healthy!. There are much healthier ways to lose weight than not eating or hardly eating!.

A lack of vital nutrients found in food definitely messes with your body's habits!. You'll notice that you're losing hair, becoming tired quickly, developing acne, etc!. Not too cute!. Please, please, please start eating again!. Anorexia isn't as glamorous as it seems!. When you don't eat, your metabolism slows down so when you DO finally eat, your body will hang out to each calorie and store the fat like crazy!. You'll end up gaining more weight in the long run!. I would suggest eating small, super healthy meals throughout the day and working out at least 4 times a week!. Eat lean meats, veggies and fruits!. Stay away from carbs and sugars - these are our enemies!

Hair is made of protein and if you starve you body of protein the first to go would be the hair!. If you are dieting, protein has to be one of the nutrients that you should be eating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's because you aren't getting enough vitamins and minerals needed for hair!. You are prolly missing a lot of protein, so eat more protein!.!.!.AND FOOD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
