What is the best gym to join if you're overweight?!

Question: What is the best gym to join if you're overweight!?
I am a 31 year old wife and mother to 3 very young children!. In the last 8 months I've gone from 308 pounds to 223!. I run after my kids a lot, but now I'd like to start an official, long term exercise routine to boost more weight loss!. My fear is that I will be stared/gawked at at the gym!. I just want to be comfortable while I work out!. What do you think is the best place to go!? BTW, I did Lucille Roberts, and hated it (I could never get on the equipment, and the ppl were RUDE!)!. Any suggestions!? Also, I'll include a link of a before/after pic of me so far!. I still have another 60 pounds to go!. Thanks!

congratulations! you have already accomplished so much!!! i go to a gym for only women called "Core Gym"!. its a really clean and nice place, and the people are very kind!. you look great and shouldnt worry what other people think of you when you are working out!. if anything people should feel proud for you for accomplishing all that you are doing!.

Keep up the good work! : )Www@Answer-Health@Com

As a father of one girl child who has had weight problems!. I can say that she was happiest when she went to Curves!. I have heard from several patients/clients (I work in Rehab) that Curves is a great place because it is for women only and the staff is mostly women who "have been there" or are working on getting there!. An 85lbs loss is something to stand up and shout about congratulations, keep up the good work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

"curves" as long as the people working there push you!. some women just chat and chat and don't work up a sweat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try a curves or venus or an equivalent!. They are strictly women gyms, with women trainers and even women janitors!. You will find a greater degree of support as most of the classes are weight-range specific!.
On a personal note, I have seen one girl in the gym since about 4 years ago!. She was probably between 300 and 350 lbs and she is now down to probably low 200's!. That is a long time for the weight loss, but it is more permanant!. My advice is that you are on the right trick, just try not to overdo it or rush it!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

It's a common misconception that one has to join a gym to get a good workout!. Yes, a gym like Curves is good, but it's not necessary to go there just to get a workout!. In fact, you can get a decent one in 10 minutes, at home, with no equipment!.

Being gawked at is one reason why a lot of people don't go to gyms, and they, in turn, end up using that as an excuse for not exercising!. These sites can show you how you can lose weight and tone up at home, with little-to-no equipment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
