Here's the facts-

By not eating for 2 days, you will lose about 4-6 pounds!. Almost 1 pound will be of pure fat (this is because 3,500 calories = 1 pound, and you are capable of burning 1750 calories per day if you exercise 30 minutes)Www@Answer-Health@Com

4-8 lbs!. All water!. Maybe 1/2 lb of fat!. It takes 1 more day for the fatty metabolism to crank up and start burning calories!. Eating sugar will turn off the fatty acid metabolism for 3 more days!. A bit more water is necessary for the fatty acid metabolism to function!. Once you make 3 days of fasting, your hunger will diminish, your stomach will be shrinking, and you will begin losing weight noticeably!.

that's basically what the "hollywood" diet is!. you drink juice and nothing else, and lose about 7 pounds over a weekend!. the problem is that you can get really sick, and you gain ALL the weight back in about a week, if not GAIN some weight overall!.

so, while you'd lose some as a temporary thing (like to fit a certian dress or something), you'd also be tired, feel like fainting, and not do anything positive in the long run!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

fasting and colon cleansing herbal pills are ok, say once or twice a year, but you have to take in fluid!. Try vegetable broth with low sodium, natural herbal teas, or a vege juice liquid diet!. its ok to skip meals for one day if you're drinking water, say no more than once every 3 months!.!.!. just read up on wikipedia!.org about fasting!.
