5'10 140 pounds am I eating too much??!


Question: 5'10 140 pounds am I eating too much!?!?
I am 22 years old, do pilates for an hour twice a week!. I try to eat really healthy every day:
I have:
a protein smoothie for breakfast
a cliff bar throughout the day
a low fat tortilla with mustard and low sodium turkey
an apple
and for dinner
i have
brown rice
chicken breast
and vegetables!.!.!.but !.!.during the weekend I drink and end up eating a lot of crap!.
I am 5'10 and about 135-140 pounds!.
Am I eating too much!?Am I fat!? Or am I going to gain weight if I keep losing control on the wknds!?

"Losing control" over the weekends sounds bad whether you get fat or don't!. Losing control of alcohol is extremely bad!. It's empty calories, and at your age your brain is still developing (I know you are an adult, but your brain is not, it will be in three years), and binge drinking is not only dangerous by itself, but indicates extreme stress or boredom in your life!. I'm not against cocktails, or even drugging, but "losing control" in anything but (committed relationship) sex or art on a regular basis is a red flag that you are compensating for something!.

Are your friends boring!? Do you even have friends, or just a group of people you know from work or school or the neighborhood who drink after work!?

Your weight sounds fine for your height if you said you are a professional skater or ballerina or athlete of some kind!. But assuming you work at a desk like everyone else, your weekend lifestyle is working against you!.

Try this!. Every THIRD weekend, beg off the happy hour people and go do something that does not involve drinking or eating!. Go to the theatre!. Or an opera!. Or a hockey game, alone if you have to!. Or go for a run, or a hike, or early morning skiing!. Whatever!. Eat your normal meal, with additional protein if you exert, and carbs if you feel edgy after exertion!. See if you don't feel better than the weekends you spend drinking and losing control!.

Do you have any other interest that would involve moving about!? Like hiking, waking your dog, riding horses, dancing all night at clubs!?

Teaching English at a local community college!. Painting!? Online courses!?

I only have a weight problem when my life is boring!. Plus my vitality is so great when involved in energizing projects, Vitality can be very beautiful!.

You're very slender, hunny, and you're definitely not eating 'too much'!. If you are eating a lot of unhealthy junk on the weekends, though, then obviously you could be healthier if you switched to healthier foods!.

the excersizing is good
also it seems that you are eating pretty healthy

drinking slows your metabolism and it full of horrible empty calories!. If your going to "cheat" cheat for one meal and one meal only!.
