Why can't I run fast?!


Question: Why can't I run fast!?
I have a good build and healthy diet, 177cm tall, 15 years old but can't run faster than the tubsy guy in my class!.!.!.!.!.whats going on :'0!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To answer your question, understand that muscles are made up of fast twitch, slow twitch and interchangeable (interchangeable are able change to either fast or slow) twitch fibers!. Your percentage of each is dependent upon your genes!. For example, you may have 60% slow twitch, 20% fast twitch and 20% interchangeable!.
Allot of the worlds best endurance athletes have predominantly slow twitch muscle fibers!. For example, someone like Lance Armstrong the American Tour De France cyclist could possibly have 90% slow twitch, 5% fast twitch and 5% interchangeable!.
So you see you can't change your slow twitch or fast twitch fibers, but you can affect your interchangeable depending on what you want to achieve with it!. For example, to change your interchangeable fibers over to fast twitch, you could train them with fast excercises!. Like fast running!. Interchangeable fibers when changed, aren't changed permanently, they can be changed as many times as you want!. Also, excercise can train specific muscles' interchangeable fibers to be different on the body, like having more interchangeable fibers convert to slow twitch in most leg muscles, and on the upper body to mostly fast twitch!. Interchangeable fibers can also be a mix of fast and slow twitch!.
And if you really want to find out your muscle fiber percentages, then you can pay for a medical specialist to stick a giant needle into your thigh (quad muscle), and take out a chunk of muscle!. They will analyze it and give you a report on your muscle fiber makeup!. Finding a medical specialist to do this depends on where you live!. leg strength and endurance is what makes the best runners try running with 5-10 ankle weights on each leg 2-3 time a week until you are used to the weight then try running without them you will notice it is much easier and you dont have to put in that much effort in to run faster and if you want to speed up more increase the weight every couple of weeksWww@Answer-Health@Com
