Answers:
If you are aged between 13-16yrs and exhibit competence and understanding you can seek medical advice/intervention without the accompaniment of an adult!.

A doctor (GP or at NHS centre) will not refuse to see you just because you are not with an adult!. However, they will probably ask why you are not with an adult, encourage you talk to/involve a parent or guardian and may have to involve an adult if they believe that the advice/treatment required needs to be understood by someone more able to make an informed decision!.

In the case of the latter, if the young person is strongly against a parent being informed or there is no 'suitable' parent/guardian then they can be substituted by an alternate adult i!.e!. grandparent, aunt!.
