How long does it take for the biggest loosers to lose their weight?

I have been watching some rerun shows, and I just really wonder how long from the time they start a season till the time they end it and these people have lost 100 pounds etc...

I am wondering specifically about the TV show...how long are the contestants on their diet before the season finally.
