I want to start doing Yoga - need some help?!

Question: I want to start doing Yoga - need some help!?
Well, I'm really out of shape and I have terrible posture, so I want to start doing Yoga!. The only problem is I can't attend a class!.

So I'd like some good websites for Yoga, and also, which kind of Yoga is best to get in shape or if you have a hunchback!? :pWww@Answer-Health@Com

I've heard of Sarah Ivanhoe before, definitely worth checking out!.
If you have a hunchback, I believe you have scoliosis or a form of it!? If so you might check out this website, it's really very informative for those with scoliosis who are considering trying yoga, which is great for scoliosis: http://www!.yogaforscoliosis!.com/yoga!.htm!.!.!.

If you are serious about starting yoga, pick yourself up a cheap sticky mat (yoga mat), they are as cheap as $10 at WalMart!. :)

Other than that, a very good website with free 1 hour classes (yes, not a 10 minute teaser where they charge you for the full class!), 7 to choose from each week, is http://www!.yogatoday!.com
I use it almost daily to do my yoga!. The instructors are very professional and helpful with their descriptions, and they offer all levels!. Neesha is my favorite, I think she is best with getting you to REALLY use your muscles and help your body get into proper form (although she does get a bit esoteric now and then, new agey, she's still fun)!.
Another website people like is http://www!.yogamazing!.com, and he offers classes that are about 20 minutes long I believe!. I didnt' care much for him as he is too chatty for me!.
Good luck, I hope those sites help, oh and if you do start your own practice without a teacher, do remember: the breath is most important!. ALWAYS breathe through every movement, never hold your breath!. Proper breathing helps to emphasize the benefits each position brings to you, and it's better to breathe while only halfway into a posture, than to have a hard time breathing trying to get fully into posture!. Never sacrifice your breath for the posture, and remember that even if you can only do a position a little bit, or have a very difficult time with it, just attempting it (and not giving up!) brings you benefit, and over time you will start to notice improvement!. Also, if there is pain, don't do the pose!. Modify as needed, or only go into it to the point before you feel pain!. Yoga should never hurt!.
Good luck, be patient with yourself, don't give up (even after a year of practicing I STILL have a hard time with a lot of the balancing postures!) and know that every day, you feel better because you are following through with your practice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I LOVE yoga!! Check out the DVDs by Sara Ivanhoe!. Her stuff is great for a beginner!.!.!.she's very soothing and gives you plenty of time to get the poses right without moving too fast!.

Good luck, and have fun!Www@Answer-Health@Com
