I havebeen dieting for so long, Im afraid that I might not have a good metabolism anymore. I get nervous to eat yogurt! Im ready to eat yummy food, but too afraid. Can I measure my metablosim some way? Is there a way to increase it?

Answers:

Yes there are some ways to increase your metabolism. I find myself saying this alot, but think of your metabolism as your body's natural fuel plant. If you increase the amount of energy you are putting out it will raise your metabolism. So if you start exercising (or continue to do so) it naturally raises your metabolism so your body can cope with the new energy required to sustain itself. Another way to increase it is to eat more often but smaller portions. By eating more often, say every 3hrs, your teaching your body not to store energy (calories/fat) because more energy will be coming soon to replenish yourself. I'd also like to add that increasing your metabolism doesn't mean you should start eating unhealthy again. Most fit and healthy individuals always remain on somewhat of a diet in the fact that they remain to eat healthy and exercise routinely.
