And I have to disagree with the previous answerer, as well!. 1000 calories is simply not enough!.

A "normal" healthy diet consists of 2000 - 2500 calories a day!. If you want to lose weight, 1600 - 1800 should be your minimum!.

If you take in fewer calories than this, your body will hold on to EVERY ONE of them! Despite the fact that we live in a world full of technology, our bodies still think we're cave men!. If you don't get enough calories, then your body will think that you haven't been able to forage for food, and it will begin storing EVERYTHING, under the belief that you won't be able to find food any time soon!.

You'll end up missing out on good stuff, and you still won't lose the weight you're wanting to lose!.

i agree with all the answers above just wanted to point out that "abf!.!.!."'s answer is for men!. Whereas men should consume 2000-2500 women should consume 1750-2000 calories but that is to maintain their weight!. If you want to lose weight you should consume 1200-1600 calories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No way! You're starving yourself and your body will hang onto fat to protect itself!. You usually need at least 1200 calories a day just to do basic metabolic functions like breathing, keeping your heart beating, pooping, etc!.!Www@Answer-Health@Com
