Question:
If I stop drinking protein shakes will I lose muslce mass?
I'm not taking steroids or any other performance enhancers. The protein shake that I am thinking about drinking is Whey. It only has Isoleucine, Leucine, and Valine. Is it worth it because I already have muscle mass, I just wanted to get a little bigger. I didn't want to start drinking the protein shake

Not necessarily. Whey protein is a very effective way to consume protein without all the extra fat, calories, or carbs that you might get from food. Whey is definitely very effective, but that doesn't mean you'll loose muscle mass if you stop taking it. You should however, make sure you eat the same amount of protein (from fish, meat, chicken,etc...) that you would otherwise would have consumed from your Whey Protein
Why would you not want to drink Whey Protein? From everything that I've read it has positive health benefits, besides building muscle, and very little or no negative side effects.
