How can i prepare for alot of running today?!


Question:

How can i prepare for alot of running today?

today i have soccer practice... ...well it isn't really practice its just conditioning (running to get in shape). and for the first 30 minutes we run 3 1/2 miles. then we do 50 yard sprints then 20 yard sprints then 7 yard sprints. then we do more running after all that. so we are going to do at least 5 miles and at most maybe 12. so does anyone have some good tips for me like what to eat, and how to prepare???

apples give you more energy than coffee. at my soccer practices, someone always brought oranges. they're awesome energy too. to prepare.... hmmm... usually instead of asking for a ride, driving, or riding my bike; i run to practice, then i'm ready when i get there, and don't have to warm up as much. don't eat or drink too much before you go, or it'll be real hard to run. maybe just eat an apple and a banana about half an hour before you go, and drink some water. good luck! ;P haha
