Healthy(er) alternatives for soda?!


Question: Healthy(er) alternatives for soda!?
I'm trying to lose weight (like we all are) and I love my Mountain Dew!. I was drinking diet until I learned aspareteme actually slows your metabolism!. However, regular Mt Dew contains high fructose corn syrup, which isn't good either!. I try to only drink one a day (well, I try for less, but it hasn't been going too well)!. I would do much better if there was some alternative!.
Juices have a lot of calories, and don't "hit the spot"!. I'm not a big fan of flavored water either!. If there is some REALLY YUMMY flavored water you could suggest I try, or ANY OTHER alternatives!.

Try the simply nutrilite strawberry kiwi flavour or the blueberry flavour!. These 2 are really yummy and it will also make you feel good because they give you anti oxidant benefits of blueberry and immunity as the strawberry flavour is full of vitamin c!. Try fresh squeezed lemon juice with little bit of sugar salt and water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately, I haven't found any yummy flavored drinks!.

I have been reducing since December 2007, and I have 3 liquids that I drink!.

1!.) 16 oz!. glass of water with 2 lemon slices

2!.) 12 oz!. cup of regular coffee plain

3!.) 16 oz!. homemade unsweetened ice tea with 2 lemon slices!.

Good luck in your endeavors!. I have completely eliminated soda from my dietary intake, and I feel better for it, but you do miss it once in a while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should really try experimenting with fruits at home and learn how to make a mean smoothie!.
Water has it's purpose and if you add sugar to it, it defeats the purpose!

1 banana
1 carrot
1 cup of blueberries
1 cup of strawberries
1 cup of raspberries
1 container or hemp, soy, rice, or almond beverage
1 table spoon of ground flax seeds

Blend and serve extremely cold!

all you want to do in this case is to replace unhealthy sugar with healthy sugars!. Healthy sugars are naturally occuring in fruits and veggies!.

get over having to have something that tastes good!. Chances are if the water is flavored there is stuff in there that isn't good for you!. Plain water is the best stuff you can drink!. And don't drink water that's bottled in plastic!. Save your breasts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I like Crystal Light and it comes in a variety of flavors, so surely there's at least one you'd like!. It doesn't matter if you drink regular or diet soda, neither will help you lose weight!. Having one occasionally won't hurt though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would try crystal light packets!. They help flavor up boring water and dont have many calories!. Helped me to cut out soda! Another thing I found is sweetend sparkling water! Seriously the lemon lime flavor tastes exactly like 7up, exect no calories or carbs! :) How awesome is that! lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I personally love raspberry lemonade or fruit punch crystal light!. also, a simple glass of ice water seems to hit the spot from time to time!. I also love lipton's mixed berry green tea with a tiny bit of sugar!. mmmm!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

apple cider hits the spot for me b/c apples really fill you up!. sparkling water is funner than regular water!. if that's not enough, try flavored sparkling water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know you don't like flavored water, but Crystal Light make these little packets that you to your bottled water!. Its called Crystal Light "On the Go"!. I think they are great!. Try them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, Mountain Dew is a pretty specific taste, so it's going to be hard to come up with a healthy alternative to that!. I gave up soda (except for the occasional alcoholic beverage)!. I don't like flavored waters for the most part because they're too sweet or have Splenda or Nutrasweet!. I just had to force myself to drink water!. I did recently find these flavor packets called True Lemon or True Lime that have no artificial sweetner - they're not sweet at all, it's just like adding a squeeze of lime or lemon to your water!. You could also cut the calories of juice by mixing it with seltzer water!.

If you must drink soda, there are sodas that have been made with cane sugar!. Jones Sodas or those Hansen's Natural Sodas (you can find them at most grocery stores)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
