Night Eating Syndrome and insomnia?!


Question: Night Eating Syndrome and insomnia!?
I have developed this problem over the past couple months which Im starting to worry about!. I do not get hungry and therefore cannot eat until about 7pm and than eat until like 2am-consuming on anywhere between 1000-1500 calories!. I am a 21 yr old female weighing 120 lbs with a ht of 5'8!. I know Im eating enough but why at these weird hours!? Does anyone know what the cause of this could be!? I obviously also have some sort of insomnia since no matter how hard I try I cant fall asleep until about 3am

You have disturbed your sleeping pattern!. Your body becomes very accustomed to when its going to need to digest food and when its going to get sleep!. If you change the pattern now and then over a period of time eventually your internal workings become acclimatised and actually start to digest food and conserve energy based on when you will next eat and sleep!. I have a similar problem myself unfortunately the only way to kick extreme cases is to go to the doctors and get ONE OR TWO sleeping tablets!. If you sleep at acceptable hours your body will switch back easily!. When you wake up make sure you have breakfast and then even if you are not hungry at lunch time force yourself to eat something and again at five o clock and then aim to go back to sleep at about 10ish!. These couple of precise days will make the difference then you can vary the sleeping and eating patterns a couple of hours here and there based on your lifestyle!. For at least a week though try to stick to it relgiiously!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey, I kind of have the same thing as you!. I've always been a preferred night time person however the last 6 months I have gotten severe insomnia!. It is usually due to some kind of stress going on in your life!. Sometimes it can even be something you have left undealt with!. maybe talk to your doctor about a sleep med!. As far as food goes, force yourself to eat during the day even if you are not hungry!. If you have food in your stomach you are less likely to be so hungry at night!. When you are hungry at night go for some fruit or something healthy!. I know it's much easier to just snack all night but it is much healthier and better to grab something light and healthy for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everytime I would go through alot of drama with my husband I would eat alot!. It was like I would be full but my stomach would start growling like an hour after I've just got done eating!. It still happens when I am worried about something, anxious or really upset!. Because I knew that this was unhealthy and not like me, I would just let my stomach growl and not eat!. Stress can affect your body in many different ways!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
