Muscle weighs more than fat!. If you are really doing all of this working out it sounds like you shrunk your fat cells and increased the size of your muscle mass which added more pounds to the scale and an extra 1/2'' to your waistline because muscle doesn't squish down like fat!.

Also, if you are working out this much (before the age of 18 for females, it can stunt your growth - literally) you should be taking in much more calories than you are or you may be setting yourself up for long term weight gain!. If you eat less calories than your body needs to live and to work out than your body will start breaking back down your muscle that you have built up in order to feed the rest of your body(mostly your brain) and will start making your body store this as fat so it can have a reserve!.

I would recommend looking up what is "healthy" amount of calories for your age and work out regimen and then just splitting it up in smaller meals more frequently in a day!. By the way, you need to eat SOME 'fats' in your diet so your body can store these as energy instead of going after the rest of your body for energy!. Just make sure it is a small intake of the fat!. GOOD LUCK!Www@Answer-Health@Com

dude you might be gaining weight because your muscles are building mass!. neway, my suggestion if you want to lose it (not that you do) is that you eat small meals often throughout the day!. it speeds up your metabolism and keeps it working all the time so when you aren't eating it just eats up fat!. careful tho because once the fat is gone, it eats muscle!. This is how I was told to get a six pack outside of regular exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its not that your doing anything wrong, its just that your growing!. 115 @ 16 is kind of dangerous!. Gaining a little weight isn't terrible, but it isn't good!. Maybe you need to change your foods around everyday!. That speeds your metabolism up and might help your waist problem!.

Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your problem is the crunches!. Its hard to get them to the point where they slim your waist instead of just adding muscle behind stomach fat!. Try yoga or pilates which elongates your body and slims down your waist, arms, and legs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

SIMPLE, your eating way below your calorie intake, which makes ur body go into starvation mode, thus eating up all the fat!. Then once you eat again, you gain the weight back, but if u eat lets say 2500 calories or 2000 calories, you gain the weight back on top of that gain some more!. I advise you to bring ur calorie intake higher to lets say 2500-2000 calories!. Your young, your very active and the more active you are the more calories you need, thus giving you energy!. On top of that, your 16, so the average intake of calories whether or not you workout should be no less then 2000 calories!. Your not eating healthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're not training your 'core'!.

Or rather, your abdominal and 'combination' exercises are focussing all of the effort on a small part of your 'core' muscles (the superficial 'rectus abdominis' layer at the front of your body)!.

As well as 'spreading', you will probably find that your WAIST (the largest and most complex JOINT in the body) is losing flexibility!.

Most of the muscles that power waist movements (twisting, 'sliding' (dancers call this 'rib isolation'), and bending) CANNOT be effectively worked while lying down!.

Pilates and yoga classes will teach you many different ways to activate ALL of your 'core' (back, ab, breathing and pelvic floor muscles)!. You will also learn to use them in balanced, harmonious combinations!. These exercises will increase your waist's 'range-of-motion', as well as tighteninng it up so that it 'pinches in' more!.

Activities that use a lot of different hip and waist movements will help too!. Capoeira, Salsa dancing, Kayaking, swimming Crawl, and walking like Mae West will all activate 'core' muscles that your current ab regime leaves untrained!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
