Question:

I just joined a gym and I need your help..?

I'm pretty skinny, i weigh about 110-115 and I hate being this way so I joined the gym to build up my legs and arms and butt and also my stamina because I smoke. What exercise machines would you recommend I use to achieve this?

I know I need to stop smoking, but thats not going to happen in the near future so please just read the question.

You need to do some cardio for your stamina. Any of the cardio machines are good. Just do 20-30 minutes 3-5 times a week. Start slow at first, to see how far you can push yourself. For building a little bit of bulk, you need to first look at your diet. Ramp up your protein intake a bit, and this will help you tremendously. You can eat more soy, beans, chicken, fish, and lean beef. Personally, I got a soy protein powder and had a shake a day while I was building muscle. The important thing is to only take in more protein while you're acutally working out. Now, on to weight machines. You need to work every major muscle group. I would recommend lifting weights for your shoulders, back, and biceps one day, your chest, triceps and abs another day, and your legs another day. Ask a gym employee to show you the groups of machines that work each muscle. But, you'll easily get the hang of it once you play around on them for a while. Good luck.
