I think it's a little early to recommend a device like the Wii Fit!.
I started doing yoga with some videos from Nirvair Singh Khalsa!. Here is a link to his beginner series:
http://www!.kundaliniyoga!.net/beginnerdvd!.!.!.
You will find these to be very beneficial!. He offers modifications for people who are not very flexible, and he emphasizes the fact that even if you cannot go very far into a pose, you are still getting the benefit!. You learn proper breathing techniques and relaxation, which also helps you to relax those tight, sore muscles!.
I had low back pain for a very long time and after only a few months of doing some gentle yoga with Singh Khalsa's videos, my back pain went away!. I can't promise this for you, but I know from present experience that yoga is keeping me from being stiff and achey and it is even relieving pain I suffer from arthritis!.
These videos are pretty affordable, and the shipping is only $3!.oo!. I don't think you can beat that anywhere else :)
I recommend getting a video instead of just trying some different asanas that people suggest, as an instructor will tell you proper breathing, proper form, and keep you focused on making sure you are doing the breathing and posture correctly!.

Another thing you might try is http://www!.yogamazing!.com
I've not used this website much, but there are free classes there, about 20 minutes long each!. He has a lot of different ones, there may be some easy gentle ones for beginners, it's worth checking out!.

Whatever you do decide, remember that the breath is always most important in yoga!. Never ever hold your breath, and never sacrifice your breath for the posture!. If you find yourself grunting or holding the breath or gasping while trying to get into a pose, pull out of it until you can keep a steady, deep breath!.

What you might try if downward dog is difficult is to make sure you slide your shoulderblades down your back when you do the pose, hold it however long you can (even if it is only 10 seconds) then lower yourself into baby pose, arms stretched out above you!. If that also causes strain on your upper back, bring the arms down by the side and let the shoulders relax as much as possible!. when you feel ready, go back up into downward dog again!.

Try doing eagle pose, at least with the upper body, that is an excellent pose for stretching the tight muscles in the upper back and shoulders!. Remember to breathe strongly into the pose, inviting the breath up between the shoulder blades when you inhale, and exhaling all the way!. Breathe in with your belly, feeling the breath expand up to between the shoulder blades!. I hope this helps you, and I also hope you try the beginner yoga video :)
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have the money then get a Wii and Wii fit!.

It is really good for people with back problems as it contains a lot of exercises that help with core stability as well as yoga exercises!. It also senses if your posture is correct by measuring your balance!.
